Keep the moving parts clear.

Transferring a domain changes the registrar. It does not automatically move website files, DNS records or mailbox contents. Decide which services you want to keep and prepare a complete DNS inventory first.

  1. Confirm you are authorised to transfer the domain.
  2. Record the current expiry and active nameservers.
  3. Back up DNS records, including all email settings.
  4. Request the authorisation code from your current registrar.
  5. Contact support for a confirmed transfer quote and requirements.
  6. Check website and email after the transfer is confirmed.

Transfer prices are confirmed separately. A .ch transfer does not automatically add an extra registry year. Do not share transfer codes through a public contact message.
