What your prepayment covers

The first part covers registration. Two remaining renewals are tracked against the domain. This differs from a registry issuing a three-year expiry immediately. Your account may initially show an expiry about one year ahead alongside the remaining prepaid renewals.

Now: registration → Year 2: renewal → Year 3: renewal → €27 total

What is outside the offer

Email is separate from the €27 package. An optional mailbox costs €2.70 a month per selected domain. Other extensions in a bundle have their own prices. Restoration or a special acquisition is not automatically covered by a registration offer. Review the separate order lines.

At the end of the prepaid period

After the three covered years, the standard .ch renewal is €12.99 a year. Keep contact details current for reminders. If moving to another provider during the prepaid period, ask about the unused renewals first; provider credits do not automatically transfer.

Your practical checklist

  • Check that this is a new .ch registration.
  • Review remaining prepaid renewals.
  • Separate monthly email charges.
  • Record the later standard renewal rate.

A useful question

Does the registry immediately receive a three-year term?

No. Registration and renewals take place annually at the registry.
