Compare three years consistently
A .ch registration at chname.ch costs €9.99 for year one. Two €12.99 renewals bring the standard three-year total to €35.97. The prepaid offer covers those three annual periods for €27, a difference of €8.97. The stated standard renewal after that is €12.99 a year.
Separate email from domain costs
A 10 GB mailbox costs €2.70 per month for each selected domain: €32.40 for twelve months of use. A three-domain cart can have email on only one domain. Do not automatically include three mailboxes. Under the current chname.ch pricing policy, no VAT is charged.
Check exceptional events
Restoration after expiry, acquiring an existing name and additional services are different from normal registration. Ask for an exact quote for those cases. A domain registration does not automatically include a website or web hosting.
Your practical checklist
- Compare at least three years.
- Separate domain and mailbox costs.
- Check the post-offer renewal rate.
- Keep the price confirmation.
A useful question
Is €27 the annual price?
No. It is the total for registration and two annual renewals of one .ch domain.
