Change something people understand
Try a meaningful addition such as studio, atelier or your service region. Retest pronunciation and email usability. Adding only a hyphen or number may send customers to the original domain. Check who uses the corresponding name on other extensions.
An empty website is not an available domain
A domain can be registered without a website. A blank page or error does not mean it is available. Any acquisition needs clear ownership, transfer procedures and pricing. Standard registration prices do not apply to purchasing an existing domain from its holder.
Your practical checklist
- Create three meaningful alternatives.
- Avoid confusing emergency spellings.
- Check the original name.
- Treat acquisition as a separate process.
A useful question
Can AI know which names are available?
Suggested names always need a separate live availability check.
