Test language, pronunciation and typing

Ask three people to write the name after hearing it once. Notice repeated explanations about hyphens or doubled letters. Switzerland has several language regions, so test the intended local language. Prefer a name customers can type over one that only looks clever on paper.

Define ownership and access

Use the company or agreed business registrant. A designer should not accidentally become the only registered holder or sole administrator. Keep the contact email reachable when employees leave. Document who can request changes and where invoices and recovery details are stored.

Plan email at the same time

Write out the email form, such as hello@berghutstudio.ch. Does it fit a business card and sound clear aloud? Extra defensive registrations do not each need a mailbox. One recognisable primary email domain can be easier to manage.

Your practical checklist

  • Test pronunciation with three people.
  • Check the relevant language region.
  • Choose the correct business registrant.
  • Test the name as an email address.

A useful question

Does .ch prove a Swiss establishment?

No. The extension does not certify establishment, accreditation or product origin.
